Privacy and information handling
What we do with your enquiry.
Plain English, no defined terms. What we collect, who sees it, where it lives, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
Who is responsible for your information.
Parrot Landscaping Limited (company number 8127497, NZBN 9429048664615) is the agency responsible for personal information collected through this site, for the purposes of the Privacy Act 2020. SRW Auckland is a brand of that company.
To ask a question about privacy, request a copy of what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it, call 027 426 5090 and ask for the privacy officer.
What we collect, and why.
- The property address, so we know which site the enquiry is about.
- What is happening at the property, in your own words, so we can prepare for the first conversation.
- Your name, email address and phone number, so we can reply and arrange a site visit.
- How you heard about us, if you tell us. This is optional and only used to understand what is working.
We do not ask for anything else, and you do not have to answer any optional question. Unsure is a valid answer throughout the form.
Who receives it.
SRW Auckland is a specialist retaining-wall company within the Parrot Landscaping group. Parrot Landscaping Limited acts as the principal contractor and manages and constructs SRW projects. Structural and geotechnical engineering, where required, is provided by independent qualified engineers.
Your enquiry goes to Parrot Landscaping Limited. Where a project needs engineering input or a consent application, the relevant details are shared with the independent engineer we engage and with Auckland Council, because those parties cannot do their work without them. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing.
Where it is stored, including overseas.
Enquiries are stored in our customer management system, which is hosted in the United States. That means your information is held outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that it is protected by comparable safeguards, as required by Information Privacy Principle 12.
Measurement on this site.
We measure how the site is used, so we can tell which pages actually help people. Google Analytics is also in use. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, including to servers in the United States. It is configured to shorten your IP address, and we never pass it your name, email address, phone number or property address.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking cookies for this site. Nothing here depends on analytics working.
We run no advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking and no remarketing, and we do not sell usage data.
How long we keep it.
- Enquiries that do not become projects are kept while the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
- Records for projects we carry out are kept for seven years, because tax and building records require it.
We do not keep your information for longer than we need it for the reason you gave it to us. You can ask us to delete it sooner, and we will unless a record we are legally required to keep is involved.
Your rights.
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the number above. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy question, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Photographs.
The enquiry form does not upload photographs. If photographs would help, reply to our email with them. Only take photographs from a safe position. Do not enter an area you believe may be dangerous to gather information.
Limitations.
This enquiry provides an initial information guide only. It is not engineering advice, a structural or safety assessment, a consent decision or a construction quote.
If there may be immediate danger, do not rely on this website or the enquiry form. Keep clear of the area, contact emergency services, and seek urgent site-specific advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
